Coarse Fishing

An added attraction at Glan Morfa Mawr Caravan Park is a three acre, on-site coarse fishing lake.

Previously a trout fishery this pretty lake set in stunning scenery has recently been stocked with a mix of silver fish and some carp.  The lake is managed by Tom, Jane and Bedwyr of Eisteddfa Fisheries Ltd. It's spring fed and stocked with rudd and roach up to 1½ lb; bream up to 2 lb; tench up to 2 lb and a smattering of carp up to 5lb.

The lake is a day ticket fishery and will be open daily to the general public as well as caravan park residents from Easter to October half term, from 8.30 a.m. - 8.30 p.m.. 

Day tickets   £6 adults
£5.50 OAP's and under 16's

Weekly tickets will be available to caravan park residents only
£27 adults
£25 OAP's and under 16's

Tackle hire available.  There will also be some basic baits available in the Fishery Office when open, eg maggots, sweetcorn, tinned meat.

Please purchase your tickets from the Fishery Office before starting to fish.  If the office is not manned please telephone 07759 871327 or 01766 523425 before going on to the lake.

Fishing from designated pegs only.
Barbless hooks only (checks carried out).
Landing nets must be used.
Maximum 2 rods.
No fixed leads.
No trout pellets or bloodworm.
No fish over 4 lb to be kept in keep nets.
All nets must be dipped.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times within the lake perimeter.
Please note that juniors under the age of 16 are not permitted to bring non-fishing guests.

Please dispose of unused bait and litter in the bins provided.
